My boyfriend and I are wanting to take a vacation together sometime in December or January. We initially wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise but because of the weather they don’t run during the winter months. We were thinking of doing some other cruise in the carribean or somewhere warm but everything is more expensive during this time of the year (naturally). Does anybody have any suggestions on a good place to go? Somewhere cheaper than the rest but still nice. Jamaica has been suggested. Thanks!

Any resort along the coast of the Sea of Cortez. Check out Puerto Penasco, San Carlos, Guymas, La Paz, Los Cabos….
Look at cruises right after the first of the year. There is usually a dip in prices for the first cruise that leaves AFTER New Year’s Day. The Holidays are very inexpensive.
A caribbean cruise can be great.
You could also visit Mexico – I’m fond of the Mayan Riviera. Or the Dominican Republic if inexpensive is important. It’s lovely an tropical, and a relative bargain – and very popular among Canadians.
