Leave the 20-35 f2.8, 28-135mm and 420 EX home and take the rest

I am very surprised that an owner of a full frame 5D, Mark II has to even ask this question.

During your time using all this equipment I would have guessed that you would have found that certain lenses on the two different cameras are great for certain subjects under certain conditions. If you plan on shooting “travel” photos while off the ship, then one set of lenses could make more sense. On board, another set of lenses will work best for you. YOU are the photographer, you decide.

“Im a photographer ” – no your not if you have to ask this question – you are a guy with a camera.

There is a lot of duplication in your kit anyway.

If you are limited to the weight of luggage you can take then leave behind the 70-200, 28-135, 24-70, 20-35 & 50

You have everything from wide to tele covered with 14mm 18-200mm as a general walkaround lens and 75-300 if you ever need a long lens.

You will only need one flashgun unless you are going to be playing with multiple flash.

Don’t know Canon but assume the g9 is a p&s. so take that as well.

The 5D and 50mm f1.2……..Be brave!
